Conference Digitalization & TVET

GIZ TVET Academy and other donor organisations have jointly started today this conference with an introduction to the topic by different perspectives.

Personally, I would have liked more depth and not just the practical highlights from Siemens and Bosch.

Both companies are significant examples of how TVET can look at the highest quality level in the future. These companies apply the dual training system from Germany and have the necessary budgets available. In addition to other aspects, I would like to highlight two special features of the dual approach: 1. TVET Students are employed by the companies and 2. Systems for continuous further training are already established in both companies.

The objectives of SDG 4 "Quality Education for all" as well as the demand "Leaving no one behind" or digital skills within the framework of global citizen education have not yet considered.
