A new publication was released from the UNESCO Education Sector.
The Guideline addresses different forms of distance learning, namely Online-, TV-based-, Radio-based- and Print-based distance learning. Two additional chapters focuses on Facilitating home-based learning for pre-primary education & Integrating blended learning in the post Ovid-19 era.
In general, the publication has a strong perspective on the technological aspects of distance learning. Pedagogical aspects are not sufficient addressed as well as the extra burden for teachers in shifting to the new technologies.
The guidance might be useful for distance learning in pre-, primary and secondary education. Because of the one-sidedness it might be more appropriate to name it a guidance for distance teaching.
